I am not sure if i should place this thread in Technical Support or in Warcraft III. So if this is the wrong place, my apologies.

I have played WC-TFT in a very long time now, and most of the times i have been able to host just fine. But recently my hosting capabilites have suddenly stopped working. I believe, but i am not sure, that it was after i installed Listchecker, and it changed my default WC port to 6113 instead of 6112. I have changed it back in the game.

This is what i have done to fix my problem:

- Put my firewall and antivirus off to see if that caused the problem. Check.

- Port forwarded port 6112-6119 in my router settings. And checked if i typed the right IP. Check.

- Put my port in WC gameplay settings to 6112. Check.

- Tried www.portforwarding.com to open 6112. Check.

- Tried to use DMZ. Check.

-Put Warcraft port 6112 as an exeption on my windows firewall. Check.

All of this have failed, and i still can't host.

I am using Windows XP service pack 2. Netgear router WGR614 v4, wireless network. I have a modem aswell, but i am not very experienced on that part.

I hope there is someone who is able to help me, because i feel like i have done everything. If there is any important information i have forgot about my system, just say so and i will add it.

I vote for your firewall.Maybe u didn't disable it completely.
Perhaps u should unistall it.

It happened on my friend's PC but disappeared after unistall his BlackIce:p

I am sure it isn't my firewall. I have used it for a long time, and been able to host with it. It happened about a week ago that i was not able to host. I tried disabling firewall and Antivirus again, and checked port 6112 on https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

The port 6112 was still reported as closed.

I have this same problem and have done all things anyone has told me to try and fix it. In short if you got a new router, thats what ****ed you over. If nothings new and it randomly happened, ive discovered certain internet providers can be the cause aswell.

It sucks but there isnt much you can do.

If u got a new router,u can enable its NAT,of course u must be the administrator.

NAT means parking a port of the router such as 6112 on your PC,u can consult it from ur router's guide!

I tried hosting today, and out of 10 people only 1 was able to join. I am from denmark, and he was from germany. The rest of the 10 was also from europe. How can it be that only a few can join, but not all?

I can explain hosting to you. But i am a german and i translated my german text by a translat online program to enlgish. so there are much mistakes^^: 1. One goes on start then on systemsteurung then on sichheitscenter.dann on windows firewall. Then on excluded above. Then on haven. Then wc3.1 and haven enter 6112 above tcp. THENOH again on haven and then name: wc3.2 and 6112 UDP then everything with ok beedenden. 2. If one another Firewall has as for example InterNet securty must one naturally also there the austellen. 3. Examine whether that hosten goes. E.g. invite someone to RK. 4. Now heaviest if with walked 1. And 2. Did not fold: You go on start then systemsteurung then on net tow connections then go to it also right let us click on your active connection e.g. lan. then you go on status and then on network support. Writes you the InterNet gateway (if available) and the IP ADDR-EAT (if forhanden on) up. That is very important. Then you go on your InterNet Explorer and write anstadt an address simply your kind of gateway into the table (WITHOUT WWW: AND OHNE.DE) if a password should appear asks your to educate-entitled that the PC bought for password and username. If you in it since come up. You click there on the fire barrier left in would list. then you go adding with entrance on. And releases 6112 udp/tcp. as IP you indicate your IP address. then on ok. de-energise and terminate the haven 6112 during exit also again tcp/udp. 5. Now you examine still times whether it hosten can. With single skins where it does not go helps I gladly.
